The Kennewick Irrigation District (KID) would like to let our customers know that beginning Sunday, September 20, 2015, all restrictions on irrigation water usage by District customers will be removed and will remain in effect until the last day of the water season on Sunday, October 11th.

Although customers will have the ability to water at will, the District strongly encourages the continued use of conservation measures in order to best steward the limited resources available. Watering deeply less often will help encourage a deep root system, which will better prepare lawns for the coming season.

The decision to lift restrictions comes after cooler temperatures and increased precipitation resulted in improved and more predictable Yakima River levels.
