These hot summer months produce a lot of algae in our canal system, which we treat with a variety of herbicides.

One thing we can’t treat, however, is grass clippings. Recently we’ve taken several calls regarding grass clippings being found in our customers’ filters. ?

If you happen to live near or on our canal system, please dispose your grass clippings into the appropriate container and not into or near the water. Even if you dump it over the fence #outofsightoutofmind, the wind can still blow the debris. Over time and with enough grass, this could cause some serious damage, not to mention clogging up you and your neighbors sprinklers!

Not sure where to put it? The following website has the links you’ll need depending on where you live.
