Cooler temperatures have helped to increase the amount of water available to the Kennewick Irrigation District, with a slight increase being seen. To make best use of the water available, the District will immediately begin allowing customers to spot water areas of lawn showing signs of distress. Watering will be allowed outside of the established schedule for up to 30 minutes per day per area with a hose.

All metered customers will be contacted by the District’s customer service team.

Projections are showing lower flows in the Yakima River near the end of the week; spot watering will be available through Friday, July 31st.
