KID‘s Water Rate Advisory Committee (WRAC) will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on July 25th at the Benton PUD Auditorium in Kennewick located at 2721 W. 10th Avenue. The public is invited to attend and ask questions to learn about proposed policy amendments that will guide the assessment of condominiums, townhouses, and small lots.

The Committee has spent several months examining the issues specific to the assessment of condominiums and townhouses. There are 410 townhouses located in fourteen projects, and 653 condominiums in twenty-eight projects located on irrigable lands in the District, including common area tracts and multi-story condominiums. “The Committee is interested to hear what the owners of condominiums and townhouses have to say,” said Committee Chair Kirk Rathbun.

The WRAC is a five member citizen committee formed by the KID Board in 2009 to review the cost of service study and make recommendations to the KID Board on assessment related issues. The Committee’s meetings are open to public, and public comments are welcome. Prior meeting minutes and meeting materials can be found on the web at www.kid.org. Written comments can be submitted to the Committee via email to info@kid.org.
