KENNEWICK, WA – The Kennewick Irrigation District (KID) is informing its customers of a temporary reduction in water supply, effective today and expected to last through the holiday weekend. This reduction is a direct result of the Bureau of Reclamation not meeting necessary flows in the Yakima River at Parker and Prosser.

While customers may notice below average water levels in canals and the lower Yakima River, KID does not anticipate any significant disruption in irrigation service. The primary goal of this announcement is to inform customers of the change in water availability, which is beyond KID’s control.

Kennewick Irrigation District will continue to work with the Bureau of Reclamation to ensure their delivery obligations are met.

KID continues its commitment to providing reliable water service to its customers and will closely monitor the situation with the Bureau of Reclamation.

For any questions or concerns, customers can contact the KID Customer Service Department at
