The Kennewick Irrigation District would like to notify our customers and our community of the results of our scheduled 2015 audit. Following an audit of Accountability and 2014 Financial Statements, KID received word the report to be issued includes a clean opinion without findings or management recommendations.
The annual financial audit is a review of KID-prepared financial statements. The Accountability audit is designed to test compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and requirements, as well as to examine the District’s internal controls for ensuring the adequate safeguarding of public resources.
The determination of a clean audit is credited, in part to the sustained efforts by the KID to provide training to KID staff regarding compliance with Washington State and federal grant guidelines, and to the commitment and dedication of KID Board and staff to follow these guidelines.
