The Kennewick Irrigation District would like to inform our customers and our community that last night around 8 p.m. a break in the KID Highlander Feeder canal, near the vicinity of Tenth Avenue and Columbia Center Boulevard, occurred. The break has been contained, but water service has been turned off until repairs can be completed. Customers served off of the Highland Feeder will be impacted.
KID crews are working to repair the canal and restore water delivery as quickly as possible. No estimated date of completion is available at this time. The KID website and Facebook page will be updated as new information becomes available. We would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this time.
