Today during the KID Board Meeting, KID entered into an agreement with the Tapteal Greenway, the Lower Columbia Audubon Society, and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to promote open channels of communication between the groups regarding the management of activities within the Amon Basin.

The Amon Basin contains numerous resources that are important to the Tri-Cities community including, fish and wildlife habitat and irrigation facilities.

This memorandum of understanding (MOU) marks the first time that these groups have formally agreed to work together on stewardship in the Amon Basin. For our KID customers, this agreement demonstrates KID’s commitment to balanced stewardship of the environment and our irrigation facilities.
