PROJECTS IN THE FIELD

Cleaning the Canals
Our Field Crew will be working on the following projects throughout the winter months of November through March:
- Division 4 canal cleaning from Union Loop Road to Irving Street was completed. “Spoils” were hauled to the canyon at the Olympia siphon.
- Road construction on the back side (south side) of Division 4 canal at the same location as above is proceeding as expected with rock being hauling, graded and rolled. Rock hauling should be completed by December 6th and project completion by December 9th. All schedules are weather dependent.
- A new weed screen was built at Dallas Road and Badger East canal and several more existing screens were repaired. This work is ongoing and will last well into January 2006.
- Sand blasting and concrete joint sealing is continuing on Division 3, main canal. This is a winter-long project.
- The 490 track hoe is cleaning Badger East canal, from I-182 freeway working west towards the tail end. The 450 cats are on the back side making a service road at the same location.
- The 320 track hoe is working on Division 4, east of Olympia Street, going east cleaning the canal and doing road building on the back side. This is a winter-long project.
- SNOTEL sites are up and working. The snow levels are at or above normal for this date.
